This visit was aimed at strengthening cooperation between Argentina and the French scientific community. One of the issues discussed concerned the setting up of a LABINTEX (INTA external laboratory without walls) in Montpellier, along the lines of the Brazilian Embrapa-Labex, which is a unique international cooperation tool that has been hosted at Agropolis International for 10 years now.

The delegation visited research units and met officials from several institutions:Agropolis International,CIRAD, IRD, Montpellier SupAgro,INRA Montpellier, USDA and Embrapa-Labex.

INTA has collaborated for many years with French institutions on topics such as family farming and territorial/local development, biotechnology,
bioenergy environment (climate change) and agrifood technology (postharvest).
