Global Conference on Agricultural Research for Development (GCARD)

Date: March 28 - 31, 2010
Venue: Corum, Montpellier

Montpellier will welcome the first Global Conference on Agricultural Research for Development (GCARD) from March 28 to 31, 2010. This conference, which will be held every two years, is meant to be the apex of a broad multi stakeholder’s consultation. It aims at structuring program strategies for Agricultural Research for Development at the global level by mobilizing the main contributors of the International Agricultural Research System.

The GCARD is a real opportunity to introduce the assets of the regional research cluster to world decision makers (international research centers, funding agencies for development, government representatives, international organizations, foundations…) and to make a significant contribution to the building of possible futures and associated priorities.

Partners mobilization and the GCARD general organization are in the hands of GFAR (Global Forum for Agricultural Research). Agropolis International is in charge of the Local Organization Committee and of the organization of scientific visits on Thursday April 1rst.
