It is organized by the 'French node' of the Resilience Alliance network (CIRAD - CNRS - IRSTEA- INRA), Agropolis International and their partners of the campus of Montpellier. Building on the highly successful first two conferences (in Stockholm & in Phoenix), Resilience 2014 will create an arena for scientific exchange and discussion on three key themes: Adaptation, Transformation and Development.

The International Congress for Conservation Biology (ICCB) will take place in Montpellier, at Corum Conference Centre, in August 2015
The French candidacy jointly supported by the Foundation for Research on Biodiversity and Agropolis International has been accepted by the Society for Conservation Biology. This event which is recognized as the most important international meeting for conservation professionals (last held in Europe in 2002 will gather between 1500 and 2000 participants interested in conservation science and practice: researchers, students, educators, managers of protected areas, decision makers, NGO, representatives of the civil society. This success results from the fruitful collaboration between the stakeholders involved in biodiversity: the French State, local authorities, the national and regional scientific community and their partners.

LABINTEX Argentina : a new researcher has arrived in Montpellier
The LABINTEX /External Laboratory of INTA (Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuária, Argentina) was set up in November 2012 at Agropolis International after the arrival of the first coordinator of the project Daniel REARTE. A second researcher has come to Europe this week in the framework of the LABINTEX: Roberto Cittadini will be hosted at UMR INNOVATION (Innovation and development in Agriculture and agro-food), on Inra Campus La Gaillarde.

Embrapa’s President Director General (Brazil) will make a visit to France
On the occasion of the arrival of the new coordinator of Labex-Europe in Montpellier, President Director General of Embrapa (Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária, Brazil) Mauricio A. Lopes, will come to France from 11th to 13th March, 2013. A series of meetings are scheduled, first in Paris and then in Montpellier with different institutions (Cirad, Inra, Montpellier SupAgro, Agreenium, IRD, CNRS, Irstea, UM2, CGIAR Consortium, Ministry of agriculture-DGER, Agropolis International) leading to the signing or renewing of several cooperation agreements.

A new coordinator for Brazilian "Labex Europe" of Embrapa (Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária). Claudio REIS DE CARVALHO succeeds Pedro BRAGA ARCURI as the new coordinator of Labex Europe" (Embrapa's external laboratory) in March 2013.
His office will be located at Agropolis International, the Headquarters of LABEX-Europe since 2002.
