During this meeting, four themes will be treated : Water rights: Analogies and differences,       Local & Basin/National administrative structures, Water Prices. ¿What involves pricing?,       Environmental conflicts and droughts management. The exchange will take place between 4-9 December. 

Diversity is increasingly at the core of political and academic debate. This Conference focuses on empirical research and on the challenge of mapping, measuring and comparing diversity within and across countries, regions, cities or institutions and organisations. It intends to bring together and confront the ways disciplines define and conduct empirical research on diversity.

EWA and ADECAGUA (Spanish National Association) are organising the program of the international symposium "New water policies - the Water Framework Directive", which will take place in Barcelona (Spain) from 17 to 18 May 2006.

E-consultation from Sept 4th to Oct 16th, 2005.  The moderated consultation will seek to identify experiences and lessons learned as part of ongoing processes of decentralisation and stakeholder involvement in the water sector (both water resource management and water service delivery).  The e-consultation hopes to share experiences on what is successful, and what is less so; and to find out about promising approaches and tools in participatory planning for local water resources management and development.
