This event is organized in support of the United Nations Food Systems Summit 2021 on behalf of the French Minister of Agriculture and Food, the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the French Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
To transform our food systems and ensure their contribution to the Agenda 2030, urgent progress is needed both by science to provide relevant knowledge and by the policy arena to act. This also challenges the interface mechanisms between scientific evidence and policy design.
This high level event will mobilise dialogue across multiple perspectives to achieve greater alignment and action on a common direction of travel towards healthy and sustainable food systems. Exploring the latest research and policy related advances with a real-world lens, it will make a significant contribution to the debate on both where to put combined efforts and how to strengthen science-policy linkages towards the United Nations Food Systems Summit and beyond.
This event is organised by MUSE - Montpellier Universit d'Excellence with its members and partners (University of Montpellier, Agropolis International, CIRAD, INRAE, IRD,CGIAR and with support from AFD (Agence Franaise de Dveloppement).
