Agropolis International scientific community supports ENSA's reform process

Agropolis International scientific community participates to the reform process of the National Advanced School of Agronomy of Algiers (Algeria)

Further to a first visit last September of a delegation from ENSA last September, made of 8 professors specialized in water resources, plant sciences and agrofood technologies, a cooperation project has been initiated with Agropolis International to accompany the current ENSA's reform process. The aim of this reform is to reach international excellence standard regarding research and training, which requires to adapt the school development to new strategic orientations and to build new international, national and local partnerships.

The framework agreement between ENSA and Agropolis International has been signed on January 2011. It concerns the following themes: rehabilitation and building of tropical greenhouses, engineering training, research engineering and agriculture cluster project. Up to now, the concerned Agropolis International member institutes are: AgroParisTech, Cemagref, CIRAD, IAM.M, ICRA, IRD, Montpellier SupAgro and University Montpellier 2. A meeting between above mentioned institutes is planned on research and training themes to prepare a mission at Algiers.
