Abstract

The Water Tribunal of Valence is one of the oldest water institutions in the world. Each thursday at 11:55 they 8 representants of the 8 canal or "cequias" meet to resolve conflicts between waterusers. The "alguacil" calls anyone who has a complain against one of the canals by saying "Dénunciat a la cequia de Favara". He repeats twice the same thing for each canal. If there is no complaint the meeting is closed until next thursday.
