Abstract

The Indigo Base makes it possible to store, save and diffuse the scientific images of the IRD Institute. The catch of sight and the legends are ensured by the scientists themselves. It develops in network and centralizes in Paris a selection of more than 20 000 cliches chosen among a single capital covering Africa, Asia, the Latin America and Oceania as well as the DOM-TOM, of 1950 to our days. The base of images grows rich each year by 3 000 photos.
